Stacy is a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner and Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner​, who utilises a functional medicine based approach to help clients dramatically improve their health and wellbeing by making lifestyle changes to reduce stress.

We all deserve great health. I define health as feeling really vibrant, having energy and having the physical ability to move comfortably. 

I believe there are many opportunities available to each of us to achieve this standard of health and to improve our health if we aren’t there yet. Unfortunately, so many of these options are ignored by mainstream medicine.  I work with clients who are committed to feeling better by offering them a proven protocol called DRESS for Health Success®. This system addresses Diet, Rest, Exercise, Stress Reduction and Supplementation to help you feel your best and reclaim your health.

One of the tools I advocate is the Emotional Freedom Technique, also called EFT or Tapping. Tapping provides individuals with the opportunity to focus on relieving physical or emotional pain by tapping the fingers on meridian end points while using specific language.

Q&A with Stacy Marx

What are your qualifications?

I am a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner® and an Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas. I am a member of AFDNP, the Association of Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Professionals and a member of AAMET, the Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Techniques. 

Why do people come to you?

I help clients with long-term symptoms, who have “tried everything”, find the root cause of those symptoms so they can find relief and regain the healthiest version of themselves. I use familiar tools like lab tests to guide the healing process, but my training is based on functional medicine that considers the whole body and the way the body’s systems interplay and affect one another. I focus on the whole body, not individual symptoms and not individual body parts.  

My own health journey was the impetus for my studies and it fuels my desire to help other people navigate the often overwhelming and sometimes conflicting, information and options available. I am the perfect example of someone who has spent a lot of time and energy and money trying all sorts of things so that I could feel better and I don’t believe that is the path any of us should have to take to reclaim wellness. 

I believe the process of getting better should be accessible to everyone. Some basic lifestyle changes can make a tremendous, positive impact on how a person feels and I believe we should all have access to these tools. Part of my approach includes educating clients so they can help themselves and continue to build up their health after we finish working together.

What are the typical complaints you can help with?

Because I work holistically, I aim to help clients with physical symptoms, like acne, digestive issues, or headaches, as well as, with emotional issues, such as anxiety, cravings and phobias.

What complaints can you help with that many people find surprising?

People are often surprised to hear that pain in one area of the body might actually be caused by something else that is seemly unconnected. I love when a client comes to me for one thing and we resolve it by tackling something else entirely. This happens often with EFT. A client might want to try Tapping because their foot is horribly painful when they walk and once we start, it becomes clear that there is an emotional issue like loss that is really driving their pain. By the end of the session the emotional block will clear and the foot pain will disappear.
