Release & Restore - The Myofascial Mobilisation Class

This popular class will mobilise and relax your socks off. You will be guided through some simple breathing and relaxation exercises to calm your system, find focus and tune into the state of your connective tissue. We often believe our muscles to be tight and try to stretch them off. Yet we do not seem to get much effect from all the stretching. Most of the time it is actually the fascia that our muscles are wrapped up in that is tight and inflexible and makes us feel stiff, achy and immobile.

This class will take you through a range of release and mobilisation exercises that will reach and target your connective tissue in ways you never have been able to with conventional stretches and exercises. You will find these movements and releases comfortable, satisfying, relaxing. Afterwards you will feel powerfully different as you experience a much healthier state of your connective tissue all around and through your body.

6 Week Pilates Beginner Course (Lunchtime)

This 6 week course is a great way to get started with Pilates savely and quickly becomee confident at the so important basics. You will be part of a small group (no more than 6 participants), which will insure interactivity and individual attention. You will aso receive weekly home exercises on video and 20% off 1-1 sessions, if you choose to take any.

We will explore the Pilates principles in each exercise, ensuring precision and quality of movement. In this class quality is always more important than quantity, meaning we work at a slow, mindful space to ensure your safety and comfort. You will soon feel more confident about your body and how you move. You may find that old aches and pains start to disappear and you feel stronger, firmer and more flexible.

Kristin is passionate about you getting the most out of her guidance and expertise and to enable you to take control of your own body and to enjoy it in motion. Each week you will be given homework exercises on video to keep you moving and progressing fast, if you wish. To support you further with your individual needs and goals you will also get 20% off any private sessions you may want to take during the duration of the course.

Yoga for Runners

Do you suffer from back pain after a run? Do your hip flexors hurt throughout the day?

Runners notoriously don't stretch enough. This can lead to an increased risk of injury and painful joints and muscles.

Running is a repetitive sport and it puts a lot of strain on certain muscles and neglects others completely. This is how certain muscles become tight and over-used and more prone to injury.

Also runners put a lot of stress on themselves, sticking to a sometimes exhaustive running and workout routine and being of the type A competitive streak. 

In this workshop we will be stretching out muscles that usually get forgotten during a stretch routine. We will address the back, hips, legs and feet. Focussing on the breath will relax the nervous system and will create a space of calm.

We will not come into any bretzel shapes and we are not going to do any advanced postures. Gentle does it. You might feel better then you have in a long while.
