Karen is a professional coach, mentor and trainer helping people to overcome the barriers and challenges preventing them from being where they want to be and doing what they want they want to be doing.
Karen is a qualified Executive Coach (Institute of Leadership and Management, Executive Coaching and Mentoring Level 7) and has an extensive background in coaching, mentoring and training. She worked for a number of years in learning and development in the financial industry, before setting up her own practice as a Business and Development Coach locally. She has also worked with the Princes Trust as a Progression Mentor, helping young people to focus on and achieve goals that they did not think were possible previously.
What Karen has found along the way is that it doesn't matter who we are or, what our age and experience, often the only things holding us back from reaching our true potential are our perception of ourselves and the barriers and obstacles we create. These barriers shape the very way we see ourselves, which in turn can shapes the decisions we make about our futures and our capabilities.
Karen can help you to overcome life’s challenges and obstacles and help you to develop strategies to create long lasting positive change through confidential one to one coaching, either by telephone, Skype or face to face. She can help you to explore new possibilities and gain increased self-belief and confidence to achieve things you didn't think possible.
Some of the areas that Karen supports clients with are time management, performance management, problem solving, career coaching and how to deal with difficult conversations.
Karen also works as a tutor at a local college assisting with the Management NVQ programmes and gives additional learning support to their apprentices. More recently she has started to work with Southend Borough Council on a mentoring programme in local schools designed to support Year 8 pupils to help them think about their future and focus on goals.
